Some schools of thought seek to reconcile environmental and economic considerations, while others question issues of power and domination in relation to ecology and environmental protection.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From June 23 to 27, 2025, the <strong>\u00e9coGITO<\/strong> <strong>PIM<\/strong> program allowed twelve master\u2019s students to immerse themselves in these reflections, questioning notions of commitment and professional stance, finding resources to think through ongoing transitions, and drawing inspiration as future environmental professionals and engaged citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To take the time to collectively explore the diversity of ecological thought, the students participated in writing workshops, bibliographic research sessions, and <strong>collective reading (arpentage)<\/strong> workshops. The principle of <em>arpentage<\/em>? Each participant reads a different section of a book, then the group gathers to share discoveries and impressions. This technique, originating from popular education movements, enables collective exploration of texts within a limited time. It is a partial and subjective reading, yet it allows a group to quickly become familiar with complex bodies of knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"576\" data-id=\"28504\" src=\"https:\/\/isblue.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ecogito-02.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28504\" srcset=\"https:\/\/isblue.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ecogito-02.jpg 768w, https:\/\/isblue.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ecogito-02-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"576\" data-id=\"28506\" src=\"https:\/\/isblue.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ecogito-03.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28506\" srcset=\"https:\/\/isblue.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ecogito-03.jpg 768w, https:\/\/isblue.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/ecogito-03-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The week was also marked by meetings with several researchers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.univ-brest.fr\/labers\/fr\/membre\/edith-gaillard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Edith Gaillard<\/strong>, on <strong>ecofeminism<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Herve-Ferriere-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Herv\u00e9 Ferri\u00e8re<\/strong>, on <strong>the history of humanity\u2019s relationship with nature<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Isabelle_Stengers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Isabelle Stengers<\/a><\/strong> and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.babelio.com\/auteur\/Alexis-Zimmer\/414401\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> <strong>Alexis Zimmer<\/strong><\/a>, during a conference organized at IUEM as part of the <strong>ETHOS<\/strong> lecture series, discussing the book <em>Polluer c&#8217;est coloniser<\/em>, which they co-wrote the preface for.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of this PIM, the students were able to better identify and contextualize a wide range of ecological thought, adopting a critical and cosmopolitan perspective.
