The EM program specialty trains students in the understanding of marine ecosystems as well as their management and to disseminate information to colleagues or even peers, especially by the writing of reports and posters. Graduates of the EM program have the capacity to diagnose, define, and provide advice to a variety of stakeholders like political decision-makers or business leaders. They also have the ability to work with and communicated effectively with colleagues of other fields like physicists, economists, chemists to name a few.
In summary, students can find work as assistant researchers or project managers in fundamental and applied research within research organizations (IFREMER, CNRS, IRD …) and/or participate in the monitoring and management of marine environments. Additionally, students can continue their studies at the doctorate level within France or internationally to prepare them in becoming researchers or university professors.
