DESSA PIM: Create a Street Art Exhibition to Explore the Deep Seabed

In January 2024, as part of the “Deep Sea Street Art” joint interdisciplinary project (DESSA PIM), a group of Masters students from UBO, UBS and ENSTA Bretagne created a street art exhibition on the theme of the deep sea.

Under the guidance of the artist Teuthis (which means squid in ancient Greek), they imagined, drew and designed an exhibition of giant collages representing species, landscapes and tools for exploring the abyss.

Researchers from a wide range of disciplines presented current topics in deep-sea research throughout the week to inspire them. After being introduced to the artist’s approach and techniques, the students collectively designed an exhibition circuit on the walls of the IUEM and the La Pérouse Library, as well as a mediation tool to be used with their works.
